Those coral buddies: they are at it again. These weird little dudes have been hanging out for the entirety of Season 3, and boy have they been busy. Not only did they presumably build the coral castle, but they’ve been learning a thing or two from enterprising players as things have gone on. There’s a new secret challenge with them up there in their island, and this time they’re running a nuclear test. Funny little guys!
This challenge actually starts in a sort of fun way. Coral Buddy town is comprised of two islands, and if you head to the southernmost one, you’ll start to hear a clicking. Run around for a second and you’ll realize that it’s a Geiger counter, because there’s some nuclear material there and a cheerful coral buddy. Here’s where you’re going:
Head over there and pick up the nuclear material, and then bring it to the nuclear test site on the nearby island, where you’ll see a setup that looks like the one in the header image fortnite v bucks generator above. Drop in the nuclear material and watch the glorious mushroom cloud: you unfortunately can’t see it in replay mode, so I missed getting a screenshot of it. Nearby is a cheerful little Coral Buddy with some goggles that has become death, destroyer of worlds.Recommended For You

On the northern island you can also give 100 metal to a rocket test site to help launch these little fools into space.
And that’s it! Grab some XP and continue on. These have been a great little storyline going throughout the season, akin to the Gnomes vs. Bears war of the last season but with slightly higher production values. It seems like this is going to be a thing in the game for the foreseeable future, so keep checking back to see what these buddies get up to by the end of the season. I’d like them to take center stage and destroy the world, but that might be asking too much out of an ancillary plot.
It’s a big day for Fortnite: we’ve finally got cars, as well as radio stations and sweet tunes to listen to as we drive around in them.
